By booking an appointment with Skin Within, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. About Us

These Terms apply to all treatments, services, consultations, and purchases provided by Skin Within.
2. Appointments & Bookings
- All appointments are subject to availability.
- Appointments can be booked online via Phorest Salon Software, in-clinic, or by direct contact.
- You must ensure all booking details provided are accurate and up to date.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel appointments where these Terms are not complied with.
3. Booking fee & Payments
- Some treatments require a booking fee at the time of booking.
- Booking fees are non-refundable and are deducted from the total treatment cost.
- Full payment is due on the day of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
- Prices are subject to change but will not affect confirmed bookings.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of deposit.
- Failure to attend your appointment (no-show) will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.
- Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
5. Late Arrivals
- Please arrive on time for your appointment.
- If you arrive late, your treatment time may be reduced.
- Appointments delayed by more than 15 minutes may be cancelled and treated as a late cancellation.
6. Consultation & Medical Disclosure
- A consultation is required prior to all treatments.
- You must disclose all relevant medical history, medications, allergies, and skin conditions.
- Failure to disclose accurate information may result in treatment refusal and void any liability.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if:
- It is deemed unsafe
- Contraindications are present
- Results cannot be reasonably achieved
7. Treatment Results
- Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.
- Multiple treatments may be required to achieve desired outcomes.
- Healing times and responses differ from client to client.
- Refunds will not be issued due to dissatisfaction where treatment has been carried out correctly.
8. Patch Tests
- Patch tests are required for certain treatments and must be completed within the required timeframe.
- Failure to attend a patch test may result in appointment cancellation.
9. Aftercare Responsibility
- Aftercare instructions will be provided verbally and/or in writing.
- Failure to follow aftercare advice may negatively affect results and void liability.
- Skin Within is not responsible for adverse outcomes caused by incorrect aftercare.
10. Photographs & Documentation
- Before and after photographs may be taken for medical, insurance, and record-keeping purposes.
- Marketing use requires separate, explicit consent.
- Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
12. Gift Vouchers
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash.
- Vouchers must be redeemed before expiry.
- Lost or expired vouchers cannot be replaced.
13. Retail Products (Including Skincare & Supplements)
13.1 General Retail Sales
- Retail products include skincare, homecare devices, tools, and supplements.
- All retail sales are final once opened or used for hygiene and safety reasons.
13.2 Supplements
- Supplements are sold to support general skin and wellness goals and are not medical treatments.
- Supplements are not a substitute for medical advice.
- You should consult a GP or healthcare professional if you are:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Taking medication
- Managing a medical condition
Skin Within accepts no liability for adverse reactions where supplements are taken contrary to advice or without appropriate medical guidance.
13.3 Returns & Refunds (Retail Products)
- Faulty or damaged products may be returned within 14 days with proof of purchase.
- Opened, used, or tampered products cannot be returned or refunded, including supplements, unless faulty.
- Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on hygiene-sensitive items.
- Refunds or replacements will be issued only where products are confirmed faulty.
14. Memberships
- Memberships are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or as specified at sign-up).
- By purchasing a membership, you authorise Skin Within to collect recurring payments via your chosen payment method.
Ongoing Membership
- Memberships continue automatically until the client: Cancels via their Phorest account (if available), or
- Contacts Skin Within directly to request cancellation
14.2 Cancellation Policy
- Membership cancellations require a minimum of 7 days’ notice before the next billing date.
- Failure to cancel in time may result in the next payment being taken.
- No refunds are issued for partially used membership periods.
14.3 Membership Use
- Membership benefits are non-transferable.
- Unused treatments or credits do not roll over unless explicitly stated.
- Skin Within reserves the right to amend membership pricing or benefits.
15. Children & Guests
- Children and additional guests are not permitted in treatment rooms.
- This is for health, safety, and insurance reasons.
- Pets are also not permitted in the treatment room.
16. Right to Refuse Service
Skin Within reserves the right to refuse service to any client who:
- Is abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate
- Fails to follow clinic policies
- Provides false medical information
- Repeatedly breaches appointment policies
17. Liability
- Treatments are carried out with full professional care and in accordance with industry standards.
- Skin Within is not liable for complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions, failure to follow aftercare, or contraindications.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under UK consumer law.
18. Data Protection
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.
19. Changes to These Terms
Skin Within reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website or in-clinic.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
